As part of his campaign for the Lok Sabha Election 2019, PM Narendra Modi visited Arunachal Pradesh on April 3rd 2019. He addressed a large gathering of his supporters at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh.

He said that the Lok Sabha election 2019 will be fought between those who deliver and those who claim a good lineage only, those you can trust and those who give false hopes only.

Modi accused the Congress governments of ever ignoring the north east states and being prejudiced against the welfare of these states. He termed his government as “Irado wali sarkar” ( a government that has determination) and added that those opposing him can offer nothing but empty promises as they are only Naamdar (Having a good lineage only).  Without naming anybody, Modi added that very much like those opposing him, their very manifesto is nothing but corrupt, dishonest and full of hypocrisy. He said that the Congress party is hungry for power and wants to win at any cost.

He further added that while he has ever been trying to protect his country, the manifesto released by the Congress party offers to decriminalize the charges of sedition and defamation against anti national elements. Modi took a jibe at the recently released Congress manifesto and termed it a dhakosla-patra (a bundle of hypocrisies).
